Nurse — Part-Time Evenings and One Night, Clane, Co. Kildare

Nurse
Full Time
Kildare / Ireland

Three evenings and one night a week. 27 hours. Immediate start.

A 20-year-old in Clane lives at home with their family rather than in a residential unit. That is only possible because a nurse is with them, and we need one more.

This is one-to-one nursing in a family home. You would care for the same person on every shift, know their routine, their humour and their tells, and be the person their family trusts enough to step out.

The hours

  • Three evening shifts a week, 3.30pm to 8.30pm
  • One night shift a week, 7.30pm to 7.30am
  • 27 hours a week in total
  • Immediate start available

Why this role is worth a look

  • Evenings and one night. It fits around a day job, a course, or children at school
  • One patient, not a ward. Time to do the job properly
  • Every nurse gets full training in tracheostomy care, epilepsy and PEG feeding. You do not need it on day one
  • Continuity. You will know this person and this family for as long as you want the case
  • A Clinical Nurse Manager at the end of the phone on every shift

Who this suits

RGNs and RNIDs with experience of adults with complex needs or an intellectual disability. If you have worked in disability services, community nursing or a complex care setting, this is worth a look.

Requirements

  • RGN or RNID with active NMBI registration
  • Experience with adults with complex care needs or an intellectual disability [TO CONFIRM: the nature of the care]
  • Comfortable working alone in a family home, including overnight

What we offer

  • Full clinical training and induction before your first shift
  • Ongoing support and supervision from the nursing team
